PENDULUM is a creative agency aimed at giving individuals and organizations tools for telling their stories. Together with Creative Director and co-founder Rom Barnea, I • Curated, designed, and produced high-impact projects for social change, including exhibitions, virtual storytelling repositories, videos, and graphic content.• Led collaborations with communities and organizations working on social justice, climate action, and peacebuilding, with partnerships spanning Israel, the US, and UN agencies.Selected projects:• Action for the Oceans: Led a youth leadership storytelling program launched on UN World Oceans Day 2021 in collaboration with Peace Boat US. Trained and mentored youth climate activists from over 10 countries to create media campaigns promoting ocean conservation and SDG 14: Life Below Water.• Dear Future: Directed a mixed-media art exhibition in Union Square, NYC, featuring dreams of children from a Colombian orphanage. The project, commissioned by Spence Chapin Services to Families and Children, incorporated video, audio, photography, and costume design to amplify marginalized voices.

• Developed a week-long professional development program for NYC public school teachers using a standards-aligned, multidisciplinary approach, as part of an NSF-funded project in partnership with LEAP (Learning the Earth with Artificial Intelligence and Physics, Columbia University). • Conducted focus groups to understand bias in educators’ perceptions of students’ engagement with climate change, in collaboration with the NYCPS (formerly NYC DOE).• Mapped sustainability education organizations for the International Survey of Climate Communication and Education Organizations.• Authored a white paper on an open-source database for NYC-based climate education activities, NYC Climate Communication and Education for Civic Empowerment and Action.

Israel

Helpi is a non-profit online platform for micro-volunteering. Since its launch in 2017, people of different types of underprivileged and low-income populations were helped by Helpi's volunteers, in over 100,000 volunteer hours. I founded Helpi after recognizing that countless people with short-term needs are left unanswered, while so many individuals and groups can and want to help. With a vision to solve this problem, I spearheaded the managerial, financial, legal, and technological aspects of the organization’s strategic planning and execution. In my 5 years of jumpstarting the org, I: • Led the founding and development of the organization, from concept to 6,500+ active volunteers serving 20,000+ people across diverse underprivileged populations.• Planned and raised a $250K annual budget, transforming Helpi into a sustainable operation.• Recruited, trained, and managed teams of employees (5) and volunteers (30+).• Designed and implemented an innovative B2B model, onboarding 100+ companies to use Helpi as their primary volunteer management platform for employees, achieving a 70% annual retention rate.• Negotiated contracts with the Israeli Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, and Social Services, securing legal and financial resources for up to four years.• Secured partnerships with 40+ municipalities and 60+ non-profit organizations, introducing a traditionally low-tech sector to digital tools for managing client welfare services.• Built a cross-sector community of 100+ corporate welfare and HR leaders to connect with municipal social workers and government officials for peer learning, employee engagement ideas, and joint projects. • Received “Midot's Seal of Effectiveness,” awarded to only 200 organizations in Israel (< 0.1%)

8200 IMPACT is the leading acceleration program in Israel for social impact startups. It is a highly competitive program that offers chosen entrepreneurs an excessive 5-month training that includes mentorships, office space, access to investors and potential partners, and more. The accelerator was founded by 8200 (IDF elite intelligence unit) alumni.I led Helpi's team to get accepted to the program's second cycle, being the only nonprofit organisation to ever participate.
