About Noah Balogun

Noah Balogun is a senior lecturer in the Department of Conflict, Peace and Strategic Studies, Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti. He is also a PhD Fellow in the Department of Philosophy, Practical and Systematic Theology, University of South Africa. Noah, as popularly called, holds a Master of Science Degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution. He also holds a Master and Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Philosophy from the University of Ibadan. Noah is a Laureate of the Council for the Development of Economic and Social Research/Centre for African Studies, Basel (2021). Noah has received travel grants to: present a paper at a conference on The Long History of Pan-African Intellectual Activism: More Than a Centenary, 1919–2019 of the Department of African Studies, University of Vienna; present paper at 4th Annual Graduate Conference of Makerere Institute of Social Research, Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda, among others. Noah is certified in: Community Engagement and Accountability (CEA); E-Facilitation, E-Tutoring and Learners’ Support; People Power: The Study of Strategic Nonviolent Resistance, (ICNC); and Mediation, Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC). Noah is a co-author of five books, namely: Peace and Conflict Studies: An Introduction (Department of Peace and Conflict Studies: Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti); Musings on Nigerian Peoples and Culture (Ibadan: Tic Tac Toe Consulting); History and Philosophy of Science: A Brief Survey (Ibadan: Hope Publications); Leadership Culture and Peace (Ibadan: Tic Tac Toe); Okeho: Issues in the Evolution (Ibadan: Hope Publications). Noah has contributed over 20 essays as chapters in books, and articles in local and international journals.Noah previously worked as a Project Manager of Humanist Association for Peace and Social Tolerance Advancement where he took his experience and knowledge to the regular people on the street, connecting them with resources they need to improve themselves. He has conducted workshops and sensitisation programmes across Nigeria educating young Nigerians about humanist values- a core ingredients of social, religious and political tolerance. Noah is an avid fan of Fuji, Apala and Sakara music.
