Our Resource MA’s are primary resources for the orientation, education, and coordination of Medical Assistants in their designated practice location. They are required to demonstrate leadership skills, be a role model for their teams, and facilitate practice workflow. Under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Leaders (CNLs), the Resource MA collaboratively supervise Medical Assistants in day-to-day activities.In addition to the regular duties of a Medical Assistant, our Resource MA’s duties and responsibilities also include (but are not limited to):Onboarding training with newly-hired medical assistants.Competency reviews of new medical assistants.Ongoing education and trainings with MA staff on office workflows, clinical competencies, and quality initiatives. Manages stock of Point of Care Testing (POCT) and other medical supplies.Ensures exam rooms are stocked, clean and orderly.

Under the general supervision of the Non-Invasive Clinical Coordinator, the primary function of the exercise physiologist will assist the EP-2 in providing professional care for patients undergoing non-invasive cardiac testing. The position utilizes the patient care process to ensure safe and competent quality patient care. This includes but is not limited to ETT with or without nuclear imaging, Pharmacologic imaging, and Stress Echocardiography. The EP-1 will also perform the application of Cardiac Monitoring and EKGs as well as other administrative work associated with the non-invasive cardiology dept. Demonstrate responsibility and accountability in recognizing and identifying potential and actual patent problems, collecting accurate data, and participating in the patient’s pre-procedure screening and patient prep by the department/unit standards.Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac A & P, with the specific conditions, diseases (CAD), and treatment therapies arrhythmia recognition and 12 lead interpretation as well as an understanding of cardiac pharmacology for the specific patient populations of the Department. Must be able to perform BP and blood glucose monitoringDemonstrate knowledge and competency to perform Non-invasive cardiac procedures.
