With a focus on cost accounting, I am looking for a position in the accounting department of a fun and interesting company!I have worked for two years of my life as a customer service clerk for a branch of Shaw's. I helped customers with their needs and answered phones. I have worked as a per diem teller for the southern region of Lake Sunapee Bank for little under six months. I helped customers with their finances, by wiring money, paying loans, and depositing into multi-person accounts. I have worked a summer as an intern for RiverStone Resources, LLC, an insurance run-off company. It vastly improved my ability to work with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. I was the intern for the actuaries; a tight knit group that all helped me succeed. We did many team activities, which boosted my ability to work with a team, and I was able to help them with summarize internal accounts. I ended up putting those accounts into a presentation that was presented to the head of AALS, or Actuarial, Acquisitions, and Legacy Solutions. They thought my presentation was great work for a person who had learned the skills over the summer. Most recently I have been hired by the library of SNHU to work as a accounting tutor in the Learning Center. I help anyone that comes in, and I am also scheduled to work with a student, one-to-one, in an hour block. I was recommended by my accounting professor at the time. I am currently the social media coordinator for the Accounting Society of SNHU. I broadcast the club's activities over their Facebook page while trying to get more and more members for the club.
