From the time I was a toddler, I'm told I would have to prop myself up to grab a VHS and put it into the player, but do it I would to have an opportunity at watching a movie again. As I would grow older, I would become captivated by the sitcom style of television, having even thought of an idea I would want to make my own sitcom. The progression of characters, recurring gags, and other wonderful things about this genre entranced me from the start. My consistent and constantly self-imposed exposure to many different art films, feature films, and a plethora of different television shows from across the world in simply my free time feel to me to be the greatest experience I have in this field because it has made me a master of recognizing the different qualities that a truly good film or show possesses. Nonetheless I do indeed have experience in writing multiple film screenplays for review by past and present professional screenwriters which I certainly did well in, as I was inducted into the Communications Department Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society during my time at UNC-Chapel Hill. I also received a very specific note on one of my shorter films, even, that being "Extremely funny. Professional Job" amongst other extremely positive notes. This, coming from a screenwriter who wrote for sitcoms himself in his day, certainly meant the world to me and served as a guarantee I was heading into the right direction. I also have a 100+ page document detailing the aforementioned sitcom that it is my dream to write. I hope to bring joy to people who need it through my humor by being a professional screenwriter.
