Research SpecialistUniversity Of Pennsylvania Perelman School Of Medicine Jul 2021 - Jun 2023In Dr. Robert Vonderheide's lab, I study immunology in the setting of pancreatic cancer. More specifically, my work includes investigating the interplay between the immune system and KRAS inhibition in pancreatic cancer. Additionally, I am seeking to determine whether established therapies can be used to treat precancerous lesions in the pancreas and to thus intercept pancreatic cancer pathogenesis in order to delay tumor development and reduce risk. -

Undergraduate Research AssistantUniversity Of California, Berkeley May 2019 - Aug 2019Berkeley, Ca, UsIn the summer of 2019, I worked in Dr. Jennfier Doudna’s laboratory at the University of California Berkeley. I investigated the potential for virus-like particles carrying the Cas9 ribonucleoprotein complex to direct gene repair via homology-directed repair (HDR). -
Undergraduate Research AssistantBoston Children'S Hospital Jun 2018 - Aug 2018Boston, Ma, UsIn the summer of 2018, I worked in Dr. Da-Zhi Wang’s laboratory. I tested an AAV serotype (AAV 2/6), which is designed to efficiently deliver transgenes to the skeletal muscle. The AAV2/6 viral vector I tested contained a ubiquitous promoter and GFP as the transgene. Using fluorescence microscopy, I qualitatively recorded GFP expression in multiple areas of mice infected with the virus to show that the virus is functional. -
Student Research AssistantMit Koch Institute For Integrative Cancer Research May 2017 - Jul 2017Cambridge, Massachusetts, UsIn the summer of 2017, I continued my work in Dr. Tyler Jacks' laboratory. I successfully cloned a soluble form of the IL-33 receptor into an adeno-associated virus (AAV) with the objective of using gene delivery to overexpress this isoform in the tumor microenvironment and disrupt signaling. -
Student Research AssistantMit Koch Institute For Integrative Cancer Research Jun 2016 - Aug 2016Cambridge, Massachusetts, UsIn the summers of 2016 and 2017, I interned in Dr. Tyler Jacks’ laboratory where I researched the role of IL-33 signaling in lung tumor immunosuppression. IL-33 is a cytokine that is released during necrosis or tissue damage and has been shown to contribute to allergic inflammation.
