Assessed enzyme specificity and kinetics using ESI-FT-ICR Mass Spectrometry in a natural product polyketide synthase (PKS) pathway. Conducted overexpression and purification of proteins in e. coli. Designed and carried out PCR cloning strategies for a wide variety of PKS proteins.
