UE is an R&D startup using organic solar cells to create transparent photovoltaic film for power windows and IOT devices. My central goal was to take the larger solar cells being used for baseline lab performance testing, and get them working in a variety of power window applications. Ultimately I assisted in whatever capacity was most pertinent at the time. This ranged from extensive research and procurement of new testing machines and alternative lifetime testing methods, to working on the cleanroom glovebox line fabricating the solar cell devices, to designing and running various experiments on the newly developed cells.

Greater Nashville Area, Tn

Urban Green Lab is a Nashville-based non-profit that brings sustainability education to underserved communities in the metropolitan area. As a mobile lab ambassador, I would go with our trailer outfitted with climate change/sustainability-related science experiments to K-12 after-school programs. We went through the different learning stations with student groups and helped them understand why climate change affects us all, and how we can all make an impact in fighting it.

Greater New York City Area

With EJ Electric I was able to see the electrical side of some massive construction projects. I shadowed a project manager and helped him in completing RFPs, RFIs, bill of materials, reviewing one-line diagrams, among others. In this process I was able to go on site as he helped coordinate activities, attend general contractor meetings, and develop an understanding of the electrical infrastructure in large buildings.
