As a Security Technician I install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of systems and equipment which may include security, fire alarm & life safety with minimal guidance as needed. I work closely with customers and internal colleagues in providing technical installation support and training. I have Experience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel installation & wiring, and programming of door and camera additions. I have solid Construction Skills and understanding of system plans as well as a good understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, cut sheets, wiring schematics, and cable support installation (J-Hooks, Cable Support).I am very familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures unassisted, may require assistance with more complex specifications.I always have a focus on customers needs and the ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.I have Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills).I have great verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
