About Noah Hahn
Dr. Hahn is a professor of oncology and urology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He serves as the director of the medical oncology bladder cancer program and the deputy director of the Johns Hopkins Greenberg Bladder Cancer Institute. Dr. Hahn is an internationally recognized authority in the conduct of bladder cancer novel therapeutic clinical trials and translational investigations. He maintains an active clinical practice and sees patients with urothelial cancers of all locations and stages including non-muscle invasive bladder cancer. Dr. Hahn’s clinical and translational research interests focus on improving outcomes for patients with urothelial cancers through: 1) The development of novel epigenetic, targeted, and immunomodulatory approaches to treat and prevent urothelial cancer; 2) The credentialing of the naturally-occurring, immunocompetent canine-human tumor model as a relevant comparative oncology model optimal for the pre-clinical study of candidate human urothelial cancer biomarkers and therapeutics; and 3) The identification and validation of predictive biomarkers relevant to urothelial cancers. In addition to his efforts at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Hahn serves as the bladder cancer chairman of the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group - American College of Radiology Imaging Network (ECOG-ACRIN), participates on the NCI Bladder Cancer Task Force, and serves on the scientific advisory board of the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network.

Direct the bladder cancer clinical and translational research efforts for the medical oncology bladder cancer efforts at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center (JHUSM SKCCC). Duties include developing and implementing strategic bladder cancer research themes that engage and integrate the multiple departmental strengths unique to the SKCCC (urology, pathology, radiation oncology, computational biostatistics, etc.). These duties encompass delivery of direct patient care, participation and regulatory oversight of all bladder cancer clinical trials, and submission of grant applications to peer-reviewed agencies. Additional duties include providing patient care to prostate cancer patients and other non-bladder genitourinary cancer patients as well as participation and accruing patients to non-bladder GU trials. Continued leadership roles within the Eastern Cooperative Group (ECOG) genitourinary oncology clinical trials steering committee with an emphasis on bladder cancer efforts, co-chairing the Hoosier Oncology Group (HOG) GU clinical trials working group, participation in the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) think tank and scientific advisory board, and the National Cancer Institute Bladder Cancer Task force is expected.

Directed the clinical and translational research efforts of the medical oncology prostate and bladder cancer programs at the IU Simon Cancer Center. Duties included the delivery of clinical care to all advanced prostate and bladder cancer patients both in the clinic and inpatient settings, establishment of a clinical and biorepository database as a foundation for translational prostate and bladder cancer research efforts, participation and regulatory oversight of all prostate and bladder cancer clinical trials, submission of grant applications to peer-reviewed agencies to secure funding and advance the IUSCC prostate and bladder cancer research efforts, serve as the chief medical and chief scientific officer of the Hoosier Oncology Group (the primary community outreach network of the IU Simon Cancer Center), serve as the Executive Officer of the Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium (a multi-site collaborative research consortium composed of Big Ten member institutions with the goal of performing highly translational science driven cancer clinical trials), participate on the Eastern Cooperative Group (ECOG) genitourinary oncology clinical trials steering committee to design and shape practice changing national genitourinary oncology clinical trials, and serve as a mentor to fellows/residents/students through teaching and research efforts at IUSCC.
