CurrentBESST (Best Environmental Subsurface Sampling Technologies) has two divisions: 1) Products and 2) Services. 1) Our products division consists of:a) SimulProbe technologies: SimulProbes are samplers that collect soil and groundwater and/or soil and soil gas simultaneously. Deepest successful applications have been to 1,000+ feet in the Los Angeles area and to 1,300 feet in the Phoenix area.b) Blatypus Pumps: Two valve pumps that perform much like bladder pumps but without a bladder. Deepest applications are to 3,000 feet.c) ZIST (Zone Isolation Sampling Technologies): ZIST is a monitoring well system that can be installed as a single or multi level well (vertically or at any angle)2) Our Services Division consists of:a) Dynamic Flow and Chemistry Profiling of Large Groundwater Production Wells (to 3,300 feet thus far) under pumping conditions. We use miniaturized profiling technologies inserted into wells so that the primary pump does not have to be removed from the well.b) Ambient Flow and Chemistry Profiling of Large Groundwater Production Wells: We use a miniaturized underwater laser.c) Miniaturized Video Camera SurveysBESST has accumulated the largest subsurface geochemical database for potable groundwater supply wells in California. The database consists of zonal flow and geochemical profile of high capacity production wells. Accompanying this data are geophysical logs, well records, and other types of data.
