The responsibilities of the position include performing pre-analytical and post-analytical specimen procedures, according to established SOPs, identifying and troubleshooting issues related to specimen processing, maintaining workflow, quality control measures, and process documentation according to GDP standards, interpreting, communicating, implementing, and improving laboratory procedures, and any other laboratory tasks as needed. Assists in maintaining an inventory control system to ensure all supplies and materials are on hand to always continue high volume fast paced operations. Assists with maintaining the daily physical laboratory operations of IBX, interfacing with Laboratory Managers and Supervisors to keep facilities and equipment in peak operating order.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Biospecimen Operations. The responsibilities of the position include processing and handling of patient specimens according to established SOPs, generating specimen chain of custody records, maintaining workflow and process documentation according to GDP standards, and any other laboratory tasks as needed.
