Assisting with payroll runs and time entry, completing error reports, accounting tasks such as making journal entries and processing accounts receivable payments, updating employee files and answering employee-related inquiries.

The University of Victoria employees over 11,000 faculty, research, student and support staff, and processes over $200 million in payroll each fiscal year. My role as an Analyst involved:- Daily cash and cheque reconciliation from government and other post-secondary institutions, companies and various departments, processing over a million dollars per month for the University.- Processing employee’s pay through time sheet submissions while ensuring staff are working in accordance to policy and legislation.- Assisting employees through service in person, over the phone, email or through an internal ticket system to consult on employment-related inquiries.- Developing various financial and data-based reports to find and correct errors. - Producing and distributing Payroll cheques. - Attending and contributing to daily strategy-based meetings.

Apart of the first bartending team for Encore Brewing Company: A former bowling alley converted into a craft brewery, restaurant, games and event venue. In my role, I successfully:- Performed efficiently under pressure from serving food, craft beer and alcoholic beverages for hundreds of patrons every shift.- Assisted in the creation of the cocktail menu by creating an original best-selling cocktail.- Self-maintained a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area. - Ensured a safe environment by coordinating with my team to regulate alcohol consumption and prevent conflicts.
