 Analyzed current environment and created an upgrade and migration plan for aging infrastructure to meet the need and demands of business critical systems.  Worked with Cisco engineers to design a fully integrated network solution to replace and upgrade the aging network infrastructure. This included analyzing current network bottlenecks, estimating future demands and providing the necessary equipment for the planned infrastructure upgrade.  Worked closely with multiple vendors to plan, configure, and quote a site wide infrastructure upgrade including new servers and storage for multiple sites. Brokered a deal with HP to provide a $1,000,000 enterprise grade solution for just over $400,000, saving the ABR close to $600,000. The new equipment will greatly enhance the stability, reliability, and disaster recovery at the ABR for the next 5 years. This solution will also meet the business needs of a 99.9% uptime environment.  Migrated the company’s aging Exchange environment to Exchange 2013 with plans to deploy an Exchange DAG to provide enhanced reliability and redundancy.  Implemented new HP servers and storage including HP C7000 Blade Chassis and HP 3PAR 7000 series SAN.  Analyzed Sprint cellular service and worked with Verizon to move service. This provided a net savings of $600 per month including brand new iPhone and Android phones and new 4G LTE data devices. Proactively pursued and implemented a new Shoretel phone system which vastly improves not only phone quality and reliability but will also provide useful desktop tools for managing calls and setting up conferences. Worked with multiple vendors to provide configuration and quotes for comparison. Was able to combine Shoretel system with additional Cisco networking equipment needed to add additional bandwidth and redundancy for the network. This saved the ABR $20,000 in retail costs While working with the IT team, there has been a total cost savings of ~$650,000
