Uganda

Conducted research and trend analysis within the African startup ecosystem to identify emerging innovations and opportunities. Designed and implemented new programs, such as the Future Founders Program, to support startup founders by enhancing their operational capabilities and market readiness. Developed educational curricula tailored to founders, addressing contemporary challenges and solutions in the innovation space. Created problem statements for programs like hackathons to drive innovation in the 4IR space. Performed venture analysis to assess startups for investment and support.

Uganda

I worked on content development and conducted training sessions focused on innovation and entrepreneurship, utilizing methodologies such as design thinking and lean startup principles. I provided guidance on business modeling, prototyping, and product development, assisting both founders and corporate clients in validating their ideas and concepts. Additionally, I developed case studies to foster an entrepreneurial mindset through workshops that emphasized problem-based learning for practical applications and real-world scenarios.

South Africa

A program led by Africa’s leading VC professionals covering the fundamentals of venture capital, while dovetailing with a Venture Analyst internship. I worked with & analyzed Messenger.ng which is a venture-backed startup to form an investment memorandum & case. This included evaluating key aspects such as the founders, market potential, financial health, traction metrics, and deal terms.

As the 51st President of the Makerere Engineering Society, a pioneering student association with over 50 years of heritage uniting engineering students, I led the initiatives that enriched our community. I spearheaded fundraising efforts for student activities and organized the 50th Annual Industry Dinner, strengthening industry ties. To bridge the gap between theory and practice, I facilitated practical field trips and hosted a "Women in Engineering" workshop to uplift women in STEM. Under my leadership, we advanced the MES Incubation program, culminating in a successful Demo Day, and bridged communication between administration and students. Additionally, I represented our college as the Chairperson at the Council of College Presidents, fostering collaborative activities across colleges. We launched the first-ever student talent show, celebrating the diverse talents within our University community.

I lead the innovation and R&D initiatives at the College of Engineering, Design, Art, and Technology, nurturing a culture of creativity and collaboration. I founded the MES Incubation program with my team, the university's first student-led initiative, to support entrepreneurial projects and facilitate connections with the external engineering community. By organizing an impactful Open Day event, I showcased student innovations to potential partners and stakeholders, enhancing visibility and promoting research and development within the engineering sector.

Selected as one of 1,000+ Millennium Fellows from over 15,000 applicants across 135 nations. I worked on a project to improve road safety through intelligent transportation systems, focusing on driver behavior, traffic law enforcement, and community training in first aid, car maintenance, and road safety for children. The Class of 2020 was recognized for being bold, innovative, and inclusive, with only 6% of campuses worldwide chosen to participate.

London, Canada Metropolitan Area

I collaborated with industry leaders, NGOs, local governments, and academics across three continents to design solutions for making Canada Water a dementia-friendly community. Our team addressed one of the 21st century’s critical global challenges by exploring design, engineering, and business frameworks. I contributed to the design of an intergenerational outdoor pod—a community-led space with integrated technology, fostering interaction between people with dementia and their caregivers. I also worked on the UI/UX of the framework and evaluated the business model to ensure accessibility and sustainability. Completed Dementia Friend training to better support people with dementia and raise awareness.
