I was captivated by the transformative power of software development when I encountered the game modding community during my senior year of high school. I began to experiment with Java programming and eventually changed my entire course of study from Mechanical Engineering and Physics to pursue Computer Science. Now, whatever interesting puzzle or math problem I hear about, I enjoy sitting down and trying to come up with the fastest, most concise, or creative code solution.While I was pursuing this passion, my professors at William & Mary introduced me to techniques, resources, and the history of the discipline that led me to broaden my interests. As a result, I explored machine learning and cybersecurity to a significant degree. The varied mathematical and scientific disciplines that have advanced computer technologies in both software and hardware fascinate me.I collaborated on a project presented at ICSE 2020 called V2S and created documentation to enable easier setup, sharing, and demonstration of the tool. This project also allowed me to gain experience with Agile software development, working under changing development goals, and collaborating with other developers.Now I am looking forward to new learning opportunities and applying my skills in a professional setting.
