Beginning my junior year of high school, I developed a skill and interest in Culinary Arts, learning how to cook, prepare food, as well as following all safety and sanitation codes. Growing up, I have travelled both domestically and internationally. I love visiting new places to experience other cultures. But I also have a lot of family in Germany, so I visit frequently. I have been speaking German proficiently for 20 years, and it has become useful when I communicate with my family in Germany.When I started my studies at Johnson & Wales University, I decided on majoring in Hospitality Management. Between the Food & Beverage, Hotel, as well as the Travel & Tourism industries, I did not know exactly what part of the hospitality industry I wanted to major in. Therefore, I am currently generalized in my studies. Over the last three years, I worked hard to obtain my ServSafe manager, alcohol, and allergen certifications, as well as become a certified fundamentals cook under the American Culinary Federation (ACF).In addition to my studies, I am a co-president for the JWU Ski & Snowboard Club, as well as an honors student. In my role as a co-president, I plan for ski/snowboard trips, coordinate with students, advisors, and companies, as well as advertise our events. Having been a Boy scout for seven years and earning my Eagle Scout award, I have an opportunity to expand my leadership skills.
