Intake surrenders from the public, animal control officers, and other animal welfare organizations, including the setting of cages/kennels for the animals, getting a basic understanding of the animal's current health and behavioral needs, administering appropriate vaccines, and communicating potential veterinary needs with the veterinary team for follow up.Provide compassionate care for the various animals at the shelter, helping with cage/kennel cleaning, providing socialization and enrichment for the animals, and working with the animals that have greater medical or behavioral needs that require a more experienced caretaker. Help the general public with various inquires (adoptions/surrenders/general info/donations/euthanasia/cremation services/medical questions/etc.) both over the phone and in-person, helping the staff with manage the front desk of the shelter.
