As a lifelong learner and growth-oriented individual, I find peace of mind in knowing that I can find success in a variety of professional fields, regardless of my familiarity with them. This is a result of the information and principles gained through my formal education, as well as my wide variety of experiences thus far. I can confidently say that my efforts as a professional will meet and exceed expectations because the expectations I hold for myself are of the utmost quality.I am currently pursuing a Doctorate of Law from the Moritz College of Law at the Ohio State University where upon graduation I will be searching for a career in fields such as Corporate Law, Real Estate Law, or consulting.During my time as an undergraduate at Ohio Northern University, I studied the field of History as well as Business Administration. Under a Pre-Law track, these two distinct educational fields have expanded my knowledge of how our world operates and the correlation between society and the law. Through my study of History, I have acquired valuable analytical and rhetorical skills that allow me to decipher the meaning of a variety of complex documents. This includes legal and business-related documents such as deeds, mortgages, purchase agreements, and financial statements. Through my study of Business Administration, I gained the ability to effectively communicate in the language of business as well as apply business-related law to a variety of situations. These skills in conjunction with the discipline I acquired through collegiate athletics have strengthened my professional resolve and greatly increased the quality of my work.My professionalism stems from my work experience. Undoubtedly, my two most influential job experiences were the positions I held as a Real Estate Title Examiner with Hartung Title Agency, and as a National Park Ranger with the National Park Service. As a Title Examiner, I gained valuable experience in the field of Real Estate and Property Law, specifically the process necessary to secure title insurance. This required immense attention to detail and the ability to decipher public records. Likewise, my experience as an Interpretive National Park Ranger required me to learn and memorize vast amounts of historical information and interact with the visitors in an educational manner.I am searching for opportunities to gain experience in the legal field that combines my professional passions for law and business.
