PhD Student in Dr. Tatiana Segura's lab focused on development of biomaterials for use in regenerative medicine and combinatorial therapeutics.

Working in Dr. Gabe Kwong's Laboratory for Synthetic Immunity to develop sensitive and temporospatially controlled CAR-T cell therapies for solid tumors.- My project focuses on the characterization of the mechanism and kinetics of a previously developed inducible gene switch, as well as investigation into further enhancements to the switch system.- I am also working to evaluate and mitigate CAR T exhaustion for manufacturing and long term treatment using an exhaustion-prone GD2 targeting CAR.

As Team Leader:- Assisted instructors for both the neuroscience-specific and general Freshman Seminar courses in leading class sessions and facilitating group projects.- Acted as a primary resource for diverse groups of first-year Georgia Tech students.As Ambassador:- Coordinated with the Undergraduate Advising and Transition Programs and Operations manager on ways to make the program better suit Institute, Student, Team Leader goals.- Acted as a mentor to a group of Team Leaders during trainings and meetings throughout the semester.

- UTA for Behavioral Neuroscience- Created and executed review sessions for students leading into exams.- Graded and provided personal feedback on both regular assignments and exams.- Facilitated in-class discussions and responded to requests/questions outside of scheduled class hours and office hours.

President's Undergraduate Research Award (PURA) Recipient - Fall 2022Working in the Labs of Dr. Elliot Albers and Dr. Kim HuhmanThe main focus of my research has been on my cooperative ownership of a project to evaluate the role of the V1a receptor on a suite of social and reproductive behaviors in CRISPR-Cas9 genetically modified Syrian Hamsters. Independently I have focused on characterizing: - Mating and social stress behavior between genotypes and sex for different levels of V1aR expression as a way to evaluate the receptor's potential efficacy as a target in neuropsychiatric therapeutics. - Characterizing avoidance behavior/movement by developing a Python script to process and analyze DeepLabCut tracker data collected during social avoidance testing. - Assisting as needed in other graduate research projects and inter-lab collaborations. - Presenting collected data at various conferences/symposia.

Worked as coach of a competitive swim team, managing 80+ kids from ages 4-18 each day. As coach, I developed lesson plans for practice each day of the week and worked both 1-on-1 with children and in groups to improve form and stamina in the water.Additionally, I acted as the primary liaison between our team and others, setting up the meets, and calculating the scores once all times were recorded.

Standard lifeguard duties, including front desk greeting and customer service, careful observation of all patrons, active CPR/AED training, and custodial duties around the facility.
