As an Associate Engineer at Pennoni in the Special Inspections and Testing unit, I manage a range of laboratory and field tasks, with a primary focus on concrete materials. I am proficient in ASTM standard test methodologies and have implemented novel testing approaches to meet specific project needs, concentrating on concrete durability and resiliency. My expertise includes freeze-thaw testing, chloride transport and content analysis, alkali-silica reaction (ASR) testing, crack monitoring, and field evaluation of concrete structures.In addition to my technical skills in materials testing, I have significant experience developing project-specific code bases on platforms such as Python and MATLAB, which I have used in both academic and professional settings to optimize data analysis and automate testing workflows.I hold a BS and PhD in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, with over six years of research experience. My doctoral research focused on the durability and strength properties of cementitious composites and innovative materials, such as rapid repair materials, which utilize non-standard cement compositions. My dissertation, Behavior of Novel Cementitious Composites for Use in Sustainable Construction and Rehabilitation, was successfully defended in August 2022. I have one paper published in Fibers, an open access MDPI journal, and have presented my research at American Concrete Institute (ACI) conventions and DOT research showcases.
