· Answer technical support calls from Wave customers. · Walk the customer through basic troubleshooting proceedures for internet, VOIP, or cable television issues. · Set up service appointments for issues that require an on-site technician.· Work with the NOC and phone operations to resolve backend issues. · Train new TSRs· Set up email accounts.

· Answer IT support calls from faculty/staff, first call resolution or enter help tickets in Footprints. · Go on-site to the customer's location and resolve help tickets on Mac and PC desktop issues. · Assign tickets to junior service center techs. · Image and re-image desktop systems with Norton Ghost. · Password reset and account management for Active Directory and Oracle database. · Remove malware and viruses. · Train new staff in call center and service center operations. · Deploy new laptops to faculty, and assist with PGP encryption setup.

· Perform day to day tape backup and restore operations through Legato for Windows and UNIX . · Prepare tape lock boxes for offsite storage at Docuvault, and file incoming tapes. · Account creation and security access modification through Active Directory, including work with GPOs. · Installation and repair of network printers from HP, Xerox, Canon, and Minolta. · Creation and modification of new printer installation scripts . · VPN account creation. · Administer security access to shared network drives. · Install new servers in datacenter, primarily HP and Dell machines including blades. · Train new student staff on Server Support operations. · Install and test Citrix and thin clients.

· Work the front desk and assist students and faculty with the use of computer lab resources. · Reset student Active Directory passwords, and enter their information in a database for account creation if none exists. · Open the lab and prepare computers for use, close lab, clean it and shut down machines after hours. · Create and print signage regarding new policies. · Keep printers loaded with paper and toner. Report computer or printer malfunctions to Desktop Support staff. · Train new lab techs.
