My role as the Senior Industrial Designer is remarkably broad including initial marketing research to sketching, prototyping, engineering, factory negotiations, samples, and approvals. But much of my time is spent hand sketching, Keyshot renderings, Solidworks modeling, and prototyping. I designed a modular glass curtain wall and bronze doors fabricated in-house by a team of very skilled metal workers. In my role as a Senior Industrial Designer, I created products for a number of brands including KitchenAid, Sabatier, Food Network, and Farberware. My products are currently sold in Walmart, Costco, and Amazon, among others. Products include cutlery sets, wood knife blocks, cutting boards, cutlery storage, and knife sharpeners. www.htheophile.comThe high-end architectural hardware I developed at H. Theophile was a finely detailed extension of the building itself. In this low-volume manufacturing environment, I made brass prototypes for client sign-off and photography. I created production drawings in SolidWorks for fabrication in one of my many US-based CNC fabrication shops or overseas sand-casting facilities. I also developed products in glass, unique bronze alloys, rare woods, and plastics. Over the 6 years I worked at H Theophile, I gained an in-depth knowledge of fasteners, assembly tolerances, and metal finishes.

IceStone’s sustainable mission fit well with my personal dedication to earth-friendly products and processes. In addition to color development, I helped to solve manufacturing problems in our Brooklyn-based factory.
