I serve as Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for Fort Carson (FC) Regional Network Enterprise Center (RNEC) for both the Unclassified (NIPRnet) and Classified (SIPRnet) Networks to plan, develop, implement and maintain automation security programs. I ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of automated systems, networks and data/information spanning the planning, analysis, development, implementation and maintenance phases. Additionally, I process and accomplish technical, analytical and advisory functions pertinent to the development of local policies, development of short and long range IT planning, and associated processes. I serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and focal point concerning IA/Cybersecurity/Information Assurance and IT policy enforcement and planning, programs, initiatives and assessment and authorization at FC RNEC that services 13 installations across the western region of the United States. I am versed in Risk Management Framework (RMF), Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), Systems/Network Approval Process (SNAP), GIG Information Assurance Portfolio (GIAP), Army Training and Certification Tracking System (ATCTS) as well as other command inspections such as the Command Cyber Operational Readiness Inspection (CCORI), DODI 8500.01, 8510.01, NIST publications, DoD 8570 an other regulatory compliance guidance. I have successfully managed RMF assessments to Approval To Operate (ATO). I serve as the Project Manager for the Cybersecurity Division that ensures every project that comes to the RNEC satisfies the cyber related rules, regulations and directives. I serve on the Engineering Review Board (ERB) that oversees the approval of systems, software, and network configurations that are presented to the Configuration Change Board (CCB).
