Hello, I am a junior student at The University of Texas at Dallas. I am interested in the securities industry, which has led me to major in Finance and Business Analytics at the Naveen Jindal School of Management. Throughout my time at Townview School of Business and Management, I took financial analysis and accounting courses to understand more about which career I wanted to go into. In my junior year, I applied to a prestigious Internship program by the mayor of Dallas, Eric Johnson, which led me to my first Internship at the McKinney Avenue Transit Authority. This helped with real experience, and a nonprofit company operated during the pandemic. Over the pandemic, I became more interested in setting myself apart from others, so I became certified in Advanced Google Analytics. As I wanted to experience the field I want to go into, I applied to the same Internship program and began working at Ranger Investments. I learned more about Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word as this was important in the analysis of the weight of the portfolio. During this internship, I learned how important teamwork and communication are when it comes to getting a project done. At the University of Texas at Dallas, I plan to further my knowledge and gain more analytical skills to set myself apart from other applicants.
