Hi. I’m Noah.I’m a dad, husband, and "startup guy".Currently working on The Real Human Project, which makes it easy for organizations and groups to have their own private podcasts to share stories and get to know each other better. The Real Human Project combines AI and storytelling to bring people together in this modern world.My previous adventure, Checkout 51, is a grocery coupon app where shoppers get cash back for taking photos of their receipts and brands personalize offers to shoppers based on the data from these receipts. The company was acquired by a division of News Corp in 2015 and I continued working there until mid-2018, after which I took time away from startupland to be the Dad Bus, driving the kids around.I’m also actively involved with Baycrest Health Sciences, a global leader in geriatric care and the fight to defeat dementia, including serving as Vice Chair of The Baycrest Foundation.I’ve been very lucky in life …Born in Toronto to community-minded parents who opened many doors and provided a safety net, which gave me the freedom to pursue my interests. Grew up with two brothers who taught me the value of laughter, courage, and being thick-skinned.Found an incredible wife, Erica, who is also my best friend. We have three kids who teach me a lot and who I’ve convinced I’m just a kid trapped in an adult’s body. My family are the world to me, as I’m sure many of you can relate.Landed early “real world” jobs on Wall Street and with media giants Time Warner and MTV, and got into Harvard Business School, a dream I had since I was a pre-teen.Then was hired to launch a national daily newspaper (Dose) for a big Canadian media company, a responsibility that was beyond what I deserved at the time and taught me a lot.And found great friends and business partners along the way.So yeah, lucky indeed.Anyway, if you’re still reading, here are a few more things about me …Hoodies every day.Podcasts and audiobooks in the car and while cleaning up.Love Toronto sports, especially the Jays. Broke my hip in 2009, have 4 screws, walk with a limp.Swimming and boxing are my favourite workouts.Strive to be a 100 year old that feels like he’s 65.Love a good dance party and the cold side of the pillow.Child actor.Hot tea with every meal - helps my digestion.Will eat almost anything except yogurt.Generally optimistic about humanity’s capacity to invent solutions to its problems.
