Directed from a young age to establish my own exclusive vision - my lived experience since has beeen a firm reminder of my conviction, adherence and collaboration, to produce outcomes that farr exceed expectations.Amid my highschool years, I embarked on a campaign that would see my passion for social justice (particularly at the time, in the sphere of same sex marriage) accumulate in educating my peers, teachers and staff at my school of the importance of LGBTQIA+ voices in the Catholic education system.This affection developed through to my late adolescene, after campaiging closely with the Labor partys candidate for the Federal seat of Swan at the 2019 Federal Election, the moment to bring my own lived experience to political sphere arouse. I was chosen first in 2019, then again in 2020 - to be apart of the YMCA's Youth Parliament. A program run by inspired young people, from a diverse coalition of socio-economic, religous and ethnic backgrounds to elevate the voices of young people who are politically motivated.During my second year of the program, I was the Shadow Minister for Policing and Justice - which saw me preside over weekly meetings, work collaboratively to produce to an excpetional piece of legislation, and liase with YMCA staff as to the progress of the bill. This legislation would see mandatory sentencing repealed in some instances, reformed in others and would make considerable inroads to reform the justice system in Western Australia. The passed legislation was a unanimous vote - only the third time this has happened in the programs 25 year history, and has become official WA Labor Policy.Shortly after the end of my second year in the program, I was contacted by the West Australian to comment on a piece in regards to the Federal Governments proposed hikes to the Arts, and then by Cilena Riberio of The Guardian. Contracted to produce four journal entrys about my lived experience with the Covid-19 Pandemic - what it affected acutely in my life and what I believed it would affect in the months to come.My adamant objective to enlighten, probe and to ulitmately deliver reform - is my propulsive force in whatever I do, no matter the hardship.
