I love to code! I've always been a thinker. One big contributor to that was playing video games as a kid. I've always tried to find the most logical and elegant solution to problems. Those are the reasons I love software development. I've been enjoying writing code since I started learning Java and JavaScript in High School. The problem solving and logical thinking really caught me.Before I joined Tech Elevator and started my journey to becoming a software developer, I worked at a museum in a guest services position and as a team member at a Chick-Fil-A. I gained much workplace experience in those positions. I enjoyed helping people and doing my best in all aspects of my job. I'm very happy with my decision to join Tech Elevator, if you couldn't guess already 😂. This path is very challenging, yet exciting. Team MemberChick-Fil-A Restaurants Feb 2022 - Feb 2023Atlanta, Ga, UsWorking at Chick-Fil-A was a very good experience in learning how to deal with high pressure. Pressure like working in the drive thru trying to get cars through in under 3 minutes while giving them a positive experience was a welcomed challenge and I found it fun. Another challenge was learning to bag. It's very time sensitive needing to bag food, keep track of the screen, while watching out for anything else that needs to be done. I also learned perseverance with over 100 people in peak hours. Without a doubt, the most emphasis was placed on making sure the guest had an amazing experience before walking out the door. I believe I will carry that with me in all my upcoming jobs. Working at Chick-Fil-A has grown me a lot and made me a better worker. -

Guest Services SpecialistAnswers In Genesis Aug 2019 - Aug 2022Petersburg, Ky, UsI started working at the Creation Museum right when I was legally allowed at 16. I enjoyed it very much. It had a very good work atmosphere and it felt like a family. It taught me a bunch of skills I will take with me for every job to come. Skills like making decisions in tough circumstances, problem solving, and always working hard to do my best. I worked in various positions including operating theaters, running the guest services desk as well as an admissions building, and supporting anywhere that needed help at that time. We would get people in the thousands on a daily basis and I'd help hundreds of people per day. Our theater would hold up to 170 people and I'd help every one of them as they were coming in. All in all it was a very good experience working there for 3 years and I'm happy I got the opportunity.
