• Examined and calibrated open loop fueling on cold starts and hot restarts on the 2024 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator (JL/JT) program to optimize catalytic converter light off to improve tail pipe emissions. Additionally, to improve the comfort of the vehicle crank and run up at start for the consumer• Tested JL/JT vehicles in extreme conditions to confirm the vehicle’s ability to handle such conditions. This testing was also done to validate and adjust thermal models for the 3.6L engine and respective 2024 model year catalytic converters.• Calibrated engine maps and surfaces for fueling, spark, injector timing, and compensation systems to reduce NOx, CO, and particle count tailpipe emissions for 2024 and 2023 JL/JT programs.• Collected data while running emissions and drivability tests. Reviewed said data amongst team members to discuss possible solutions and best course of action for issues that were newly found or on going.
