Managed a team of 16 that included Analytical Chemists, Biologists, Lab Managers, and Lab Technicians. I was responsible for maintaining laboratory accreditations and licenses in compliance with California state regulators and ISO 17025. Additionally, I created a detailed cost analysis of all lab methods, managed the validation of new methods, and served as a technical liaison to customers. Coordinated a startup non-profit antibiotic discovery program by managing data, producing materials, and stocking inventory. I designed experiments and wrote a manual for the program. Additional responsibilities included scheduling the production of materials, streamlining complex experiments for inexperienced personnel, and purchasing robotic mass-production equipment for the study.
