The Salesforce Administrator is part of the School’s technology team and supports and develops the database and applications related to the School’s system of engagement, Salesforce. This position is the liaison between the Administrative Services Department, information services staff, technology planning group, and departmental functional staff and other users of Salesforce. The Administrator designs, implements, troubleshoots, and works with end-users to ensure that all Salesforce-related applications meet their needs and keep pace with changes in School operations, policies, and procedures and ensures that the School’s implementation of Salesforce conforms to best practice and stays current and/or ahead of the curve.

Administers, supports, configures and maintains academic online services such as learning management systems, electronic portfolio systems, course evaluations, lecture capture systems, Google for Education services, and other web-based systems. Coordinates with academic and administrative departments to ensure that online services function as required. Serves as highest tier of support in troubleshooting and resolving system issues. Works with software developers to design, test and install customizations. Participates in departmental and institution-wide technology committees. Helps Computer Resources Information Technology (CRIT) department stay current on software, equipment and facility needs as technology evolves and the computing requirements of the SAIC community change; assists CRIT and other departments in integrating new software systems and technologies.
