I got into programming when I was inspired by the way NASA landed the Curiosity rover, and took my first coding class online. Since then, I’ve scaled two bootstrapped, profitable startups as a first-ever hire and as a first hire by the CTO.For a decade, my teams have built products users really love and gotten through existential risks with scarce resources. I’ve led hiring, onboarding, managing, retaining, and promoting outstanding people, from junior to C-level.I believe what Peter Drucker said, “Culture eats strategy for breakfast.” My teams' cultures center on impact, consistent improvement, psychological safety, being open-minded, having high standards, and being candid both in celebrations and tough conversations.My favorite work is contributing to things that aren’t inevitable – and may be impossible – with outstanding people.
