Developing into my current role as an instrument service operations manager in biotech I have held or experienced almost every service position. I have defined, developed and rolled out a large majority of the process at the core of the operation. During my tenure the changes made to the service operation turned it profitable, within a year, and expanded annual revenue from less than one million to over thirty million in thirteen years.Coaching, mentoring, sharing, honesty, empathy, vulnerability and enabling others to develop is something that was ingrained in me from an early age though year-round sport. I enjoy bringing these skills to my roles, strategizing, recruiting, hiring and growing team members to build out or increase the effectiveness of an individual or team.I seek out problems that no one sees or seems willing to take on… I am at my best when taking on “opportunities” that require a high level of critical thinking and problem solving to strategize, develop and implement solutions in demanding and complex situations. I love using my inquisitive and conceptual nature to uncover and visualize a process or problem and improve it.I thrive in fast paced planning roles, planning production, logistics, manpower, and coordinating production across departments and disciplines. Planning, coordination and ownership of processes come as second nature; this has added great value through my career.I was the management representative for quality assurance for the former North American head-quarters for six years, which honed my understanding of quality in an ISO and GMP regulated industry. This was while also being an operations supervisor for instrument service as well as planner and coordinator for new instrument release for sale. I am a skilled multi-tasker, who is able to shift focus quickly with a high level of detail.My role is, and has always been to keep the operation moving forward. I do not shy away from a new challenge or task, but I thrive in these roles, feeling fulfilled by doing my part to elevate operational excellence within the organization. I look forward to changes and growth I can contribute to the organization and the overall advancement in medical science.
