As CFAO I am responsible for all financial and operational activity for a philanthropic foundation with appr. $200MM in assets under management. The Overbrook Foundation is a family foundation that supports organizations advancing human rights, conserving the natural environment, and protecting American democracy.

As COO and CFO I served as a member of Touch's Executive Leadership Team and was charged with all aspects of day-to-day financial and operations management and, in collaboration with the Board, long-term organizational strategy. Over my 9 years at Touch I led the expansion of the Foundation's operations across 4 new countries with a focus on building efficient and accountable finance, HR, IT, development, and compliance infrastructure to support our rapid growth in size, complexity, and diversity.

I provided financial management consulting services to non-profit Boards and executives to bring clarity to organizational financial positions, identify and address vulnerabilities, and build successful financial management strategies. My clients included the Ford Foundation, Highbridge Community Life Center (with Tiger Foundation), Helen Keller International, (with Nonprofit Organization Knowledge Initiative), New York City Housing Authority (with Scott Zucker Consulting), Neighborhood Trust Financial Partners, Center for Employment Opportunities, Upper Manhattan Mental Health Center (with Fiscal Management Associates), Greater New Orleans, Inc., and Touch Foundation.

I produced the annual budget for Freelancers Union and its $100M insurance company affiliate, developed financial models and projections, coordinated claims management, and led efforts to explore and build revenue maximizing strategies within union operations.

I built and managed $60M annual budgets, oversaw financial reporting on contracts, prepared and delivered financial analyses and projections for decision-making to the Board and executive leadership, built financial models for grant-making and lending operations, and played a key role in managing annual financial statement and A-133 audits.

I was responsible for all aspects of this social purpose staffing company, including developing a financial and business strategy to achieve a "double bottom-line" of both business and social outcomes, supervising a staff of 15+, managing multiple local, state, and federally funded contracts, and overseeing all aspects of marketing, product development, and operations.
