Noah Maslan has been focused on community-driven, urban real estate projects since 2001. At Eden, he is responsible for the firm’s real estate development activities including strategic planning, site selection, due diligence, permitting, financing, construction and overall project management.

● Director of Real Estate for one of the largest community development corporations in New England. ● Managed and directed the work of four (4) staff to acquire, permit, design, finance, re-structure, construct/renovate, and sell or lease Urban Edge’s development pipeline that included affordable multi-family rental & ownership housing, neighborhood retail, and community facilities on mainly brownfield sites.● In 12 years at Urban Edge, secured and closed more than 115 loans/grants/equity investments to support 500 units of multi-family affordable housing and 80,000 square feet of commercial space. Teed up another 162 units and 12,000 square feet of commercial space to close in 2013.● Urban Edge’s lead on the Jackson Square Redevelopment Initiative development and infrastructure, a $250 million mixed-use, green, transit-oriented, brownfield redevelopment in the Jackson Square neighborhood of Boston. ● Key member of the Senior Management Team that led the organization’s successful financial turnaround. ● Built and managed relationships with community and resident groups, lending institutions, state and local government, funding agencies, and development partners. ● Closed multiple Historic Tax Credit (HTC), Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Tax Exempt Bond Financing, and Urban Edge’s first New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) and Historic Tax Credit deals. ● Secured City of Boston Article 80 Development Review Approval and Zoning Board of Appeal approval for multiple projects. ● Led the organizations’ Green Development Initiative turning Urban Edge into a national industry leader in green affordable housing. ● Green strategies applied include Urban Edge’s first geothermal (ground source) heating/AC system, first solar PV installations, first solar thermal hot water systems, first micro combined heat and power system, first LEED NC and ND certified projects, and developed a comprehensive green retrofit approach for existing properties.

● Implemented Urban Edge’s real estate development pipeline by direct project management and through supervision of three (3) staff. ● Directed Urban Edge’s Green Housing initiative (Green HUE), including institutionalizing an integrated design approach for all Urban Edge projects.

Managed all aspects of real estate development projects: executed project feasibility analyses, facilitated resident and community meetings, secured entitlements, prepared financing requests to both public and private funding sources, managed project budgets, instituted green building strategies, solicited bids, negotiated contracts and directed development team members including contractors, architects, engineers, and attorneys.

Served as a lead Planner for development reviews and discretionary permits in the Community Development Department Planning Division and reviewed projects for traffic and parking requirements in the Public Works Department. Researched and authored zoning amendments.
