Coming out of the difficult production environments during COVID, I moved into production line leadership roles at Lion’s largest brewery where my focus was on improving line performance and engagement. I was able to reinvigorate team ownership on driving improvements through manufacturing excellence practices to improve team engagement and make small efficiency improvements. From this we integrating engineering resources into the operations team and began rolling out a Total Productive Maintenance strategy, where I lead the first pilot project which delivered great line performance improvements. As Total Productive Maintenance was rolled out across the brewery, I moved on to lead other projects in different production areas.

The Packaging Development team were a key facet to Lion’s innovation process, as the business continually adapts its products to meet the changing consumer preferences. My role was to collaborate with Marketing, Suppliers, and the full breadth of Lion’s Supply Chain to deliver commercially viable innovations, with a heavy focus on the sustainability of packaging materials.While in this role I became a sustainability ambassador by developing and leading sustainability focused project groups and designing sustainable packaging reports to measure performance and build strategies against packaging targets. We integrated this focus on assessing environmental impact into the over 20 materials savings projects.

- Lion Supply Chain Technical Team Member of the Month for management of production quality inspection plan issues through stakeholder communication and developing triaging system during Lion NZ SAP Go-Live- Developed business proposals from mass data analysis on several problem solving investigations across the business network leading to change in our business operations- Completed Life Cycle Analyses on over 30 packaging materials and assisted in development of life cycle analysis upkeep process- Led supplier based material testing as part of a new production line project development to determine optimum line operation

- Managed national inventory levels during stock shortages, forecast uplifts and New Product Developments to enable the business to achieve its Logistics performance matrix- Managed and improved stakeholder communication processes for various national stock outlook reports to provide a more succinct commentary- Streamlined weekly stock age reporting process to 30% of its original time requirement- Ran network optimisation models to develop business cases for future product scalable pathways and reduction of linehaul costs over $100,000 per year.- Led product sourcing change feasibility project to enable brand growth and linehaul savings

- Led and redesigned a targeted action plan, in collaboration with a food safety consultancy business and company General Manager, to upgrade a manufacturing facility to meet the HACCP requirements for the Australian Food Industry.- Designed and implemented traceability system for manufacturing process- Established site protocols for maintaining cleanliness, improving manufacturing efficiency and improving product quality consistency.- Led data cleansing and management of manufacturing operating system upgrade in conjunction with software provider CSB.

Working within the Coatings division:- Part of ongoing new product development research. Consisting of market research/gap analysis and initial product formulation.- Conducted market entry analysis in collaboration with sales and marketing team to enter product range into new markets.- Continual testing of existing products with new raw materials to reduce operational costs and improve product properties.

The primary role of this position is to promote the UNSW Co-op Program Scholarship to high school students looking to enter into university. As part of this role I was required to:- Travel to high schools and give presentations on the benefits and opportunities provided by the UNSW Co-op Program.- Attend high school careers markets and information evenings to inform students about the program.- Keep up to date with Scholarship information and requirements.- Demonstrate strong public speaking and communication skills.

- Effectively communicated with customers and suppliers, including occasional customer confrontations.- Trained new staff in effective customer relations and in company operations protocols.
