It was always my hope that as an adult or teenager I would be the one who has that one Eureka moment similar to ones that we see from scientists in movies and pop culture. My passion for discovery and curiosity has never faltered and is the closest thing I can describe as a goal when looking for a career. Now I specifically want to study human physiology in general and apply my already past work experience, from clinical and laboratory environments to have a better understanding of human health. Why does silencing of one gene differ from that of another? What truly separates the ill and the healthy and what can be done to have more of the latter? Those are the questions I hope to answer in whatever career I choose.I believe that everyone is a shadow of his or her experience, and that applies to me. I have over three years of work experience, one year of learning about laboratory practices in Western University, and two years of experience with data entry. I have worked, volunteered, and shadowed in hospitals and laboratory environments, and currently, I am a student Medical Science student at Western University. I am proficient in Microsoft Excel (and VBA), Microsoft Access (and SQL), Javascript, and currently learning Python.
