In this position, I plan and execute events for students attending the University of Minnesota. Mainly serving as a trivia host, it is my job to plan and run weekly trivia, write questions, prepare themes and prizes, and organize partnerships with outside student organizations. I also am given the opportunity and means to periodically plan my own events. Those of which I have almost total creative liberties to do as I wish as long as they draw in a reasonably sized attendance.

In this yearly two-week-long position I work at the Minnesota State Fair making Hawaiian Shaved ice. I perform the two basic roles, shaving ice/support, and customer interactions/making the shaved ice. As one of the more experienced employees I also perform in lieu of management when they are absent assisting in managing break times, stock, and various support tasks.

In this role, it is my job to help out in the dining hall wherever they need on that day. Usually, this means that it is my job to ensure that the dining area stays clean, pick up dishes, wash tables, vacuum, sweep, and other basic day-to-day cleaning duties. I also often help in the dish-room where I unload and organize dishes, oversee quality control, distribute dishes to cooks and the floor, and ensure thorough cleaning.

In this position, I was charged with ensuring the safety of swimmers as well as performing first aid as needed. Additionaly, I educated and enforced park safety policies. This was a highly interpersonal role that required clear communication with both park attendees as well as coworkers.

Working either alone or with a team of up to three other people I worked as a closer at this location's Starbucks cafe. On top of all of the general tasks that are required of a barista such as drink making, professional customer interactions, restocking throughout the day, and keeping a clean workplace; as a closer I also had to perform comprehensive restocking, bookkeeping, thorough cleaning, and closing of the til while performing the base barista duties.
