I was the youngest elected school board member in the State of Tennessee and was elected to serve as Vice-Chairman of the Board. I successfully ran my own campaign during my first semester of college, while still maintaining a 4.00 GPA.

During the summer of 2020, through the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked as a Summer Camp Counselor and Shooting Sports Certifed Instructure at Camp Ozark in Mount Ida, Arkansas. I was responsible for caring for and overseeing ten, third-grade boys for several days during their two-week experiences at camp. I also worked in shooting sports, instructing campers how to safely and correctly use and practice with firearms.

In this role, I aided in promotion and advocacy for The University of Tennessee System through their Office of Government Relations & Advocacy. I also constructed a multi-page, data-driven policy brief on expanding the TN HOPE Scholarship.

In this position I worked closely with the Campbell County Technology Department and Central Office personnel to provide for the technology needs of all students in the Campbell County Public Schools. I traveled to multiple schools to help diagnose, address, and fix technology needs of all shapes and sizes. I was able to interact with teachers, administrators, and staff to provide the best service in order to get them back to their busy workday. During my time in this position, I implemented several digital projects in our schools ranging from digital menu boards in the cafeteria, contemporary websites, and digital signage. This position ultimately inspired me to run for the Campbell County School Board to put my experience into greater action.
