When I was in 7th-grade playing pop warner football I took one of the hardest hits I think I've ever took in my life. I remember being down on the grass crying thinking I had earned myself a concussion. After I had realized that I wasn't crying because I was hurt, I was crying because I was embarrassed that the entire stadium saw me take that hit.Since that hit, I went on and became my teams leading player in receiving yards. It was not because I was that much better than the rest of my teammates but it was because I had already been down and now I wasn't afraid to fail or feel embarrassed.Now I take that I'm much older, I remember that past experience and apply that to my life decisions. If you want to be a successful person in life you can't be afraid to get hurt, embarrassed or lose because you'll then be living in comfort. And when I finally get to that point of being down, I learn from it, bloom back up and start playing my game knowing that the worst of the worse has already happened.
