Hi, my name is Noah Thompson. I am currently a Sophomore at the University of St Thomas majoring in Finance with a minor in Law & Compliance. An accomplished student, I was named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semesters with a GPA of 3.94. I am a committed, hard worker seeking to gain experience and connections in the finance or accounting sectors.I am driven by a passion for understanding financial markets and leveraging data to inform strategic decisions and grow businesses. My academic experience has provided me with a solid foundation in financial principles, investment strategies, and data analysis. Through my coursework and involvement in the St Thomas Wall Street Club, I have developed strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail, allowing me to excel in interpreting complex data sets and extracting actionable insights. Additionally, I have taken a bigger part in leadership roles at the University of St Thomas to further develop my professional self. Elected as the VP of Professional Activity for the Delta Sigma Pi – Nu Tau Chapter, I have been able to develop leadership and planning skills that will be invaluable in my career.Currently, I am employed by the University of St Thomas as a student intern for the Schulze School of Entrepreneurship. In this position, I assist with planning and coordinating events, including workshops and guest speaker sessions. I manage communications with students, faculty, and external partners, ensuring smooth event execution. Additionally, I contribute to promotional efforts by handling social media campaigns and email outreach. Post-event, I gather feedback and create reports to assess event success and areas for improvement.I am actively seeking a summer internship in finance or accounting to apply my knowledge and gain hands-on experience. I am proficient in Microsoft Excel, IBM SPSS, and database management tools such as Microsoft Access, which enable me to perform detailed financial modeling and analysis. My goal is to contribute to a dynamic team where I can continue to develop my skills and build a strong foundation for a successful career in finance.
