With over a decade of experience in multiple treatment settings, and several years as the Residential Director of Pacific Lodge Youth Services, a 51-bed residential treatment facility in Southern California, I have worked with some of the most challenging populations; the most acute mental health and substance use disorders; the most bleak family system dysfunctions and community resource failings; and some of the most incredible young men on the planet. As the director of Pacific Lodge, I supervised a team of nine managers, and 75 staff indirectly, and also developed and maintained oversight of the program budget of over $5 million annually. I have developed an astute background in national accreditation, having consulted with several agencies who are now CARF accredited, and have engaged in successful grant writing for the past three years, raising over $7 million for nonprofits in 2015-2016.Over the years, I have been extremely active on Boards, committees and in activism, developing a vast network within the field of social welfare, and mental health and substance abuse services vital to establishing partnerships for success. In my professional experience, I have gained invaluable knowledge of program development, operations and administration necessary for a treatment program to thrive. Having developed the groundbreaking program at Pacific Lodge and handled facility licensing, regulatory, training, staff and client issues, I have positioned myself strategically to become an asset to any company. I am currently the Business Development Director for Roots, Inc. and Roots Through Recovery Outpatient in Long Beach, and have been integral in the establishment of the outpatient program and will continue to propel our organization further as we expand into providing a continuum of comprehensive care.
