As scholarship communications manager for the top-ranked journal in primary care research (for those still wedded to impact factor), it is my job to help scholars, readers, learners, and the public return to that exhilaration of new ideas and ways of scrutinizing and solving what matters most. I organize online conversations on social media, online and bridging academic and popular press, opening up research to audiences that exist in non-academic spaces. I write, design, and develop online points of entry for our typical PDF original research articles, including: video and visual abstracts, web written content, audio podcasts, curated online collections, and meta-research.
