On secondment from MDDI.Currently the lead officer on ideating, developing and implementing initiatives and policies to grow Singapore’s AI assurance industry ecosystem, with an aspiration of Singapore as a testing hub.Supported Singapore’s contributions in standards development on AI, including at ISO and with Europe’s CEN-CENALAC.Part of the AI Verify Foundation’s team, a global open-source community that convenes AI owners, solution providers, users, and policymakers, to build trustworthy AI. Contributed to the development and implementation of Singapore’s international policy priorities on digital issues as part of larger objectives such as maximizing economic opportunities and to influence regional and international standards.Analysed international tech trends and geopolitical developments, where I develop and report actionable policy advice to management.Was involved in developing the Ministry’s international engagement strategies for accounts where I was responsible, including China, Japan, Europe and Vietnam. I was also involved in whole-of-government engagements such as the Joint Council for Bilateral Cooperation where I was part of the team involved in the inaugural Singapore-China Digital Policy Dialogue. Prepared speeches, briefs, talking points and interventions for senior management which serve to articulate intended narratives for external audiences in the form of well-crafted narratives. This included press releases and Joint Statements.Represented the Ministry on negotiations with foreign governments on digital agreements such as the France – Singapore Digital and Green Partnership, and the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement. I also represented Singapore on various platforms such as the Japan-Singapore Economic Dialogue, the Singapore - Vietnam Connectivity Ministerial Meeting and the Japan-Singapore Experts Level Meeting on Digital Economy Cooperation.

Was part of Singapore's Financial Action Task Force (FATF) national Secretariat which coordinates national efforts in ensuring Singapore's anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) regime was compliant with the FATF Standards.Worked with various stakeholders to ensure that the Ministry's policies were profiled positively in FATF and in other international fora. Was involved in inter-agency efforts to reviewing Singapore's legislation pertaining to Singapore's FTZ regime to be compliant with the FATF's Standards.Was part of the staffing team for Singapore's delegations to the FATF from 2019 to 2021. Was the primary staffer for Singapore's delegation, led by Ms Sun Xueling in the 2019 edition of No Money for Terror Ministerial Conference at Melbourne, Australia.

Provided monitoring and intelligence reports for various clients both in the public and private sectors, in the APEC region, including the Japan and the China markets. The accounts cover companies in the pharmaceutical, automobile and consumer electronics sectors. These reports inform clients of potential risk situations, as well as charting and mapping out ground sentiments on various matters. Conducted social listening on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Weibo and other major platforms to provide intelligence reports analyzing clients’ media footprint and presence. Was involved in designing of the methodology of the reports, from the assessment and analysis of the datasets, to the visualization and presentation of the reports. Led efforts on the preparation of reports on analyzing the media landscapes of countries, where such reports required a deep-dive into regulatory policies so to best advise clients on advocacy and outreach efforts.Devised methodologies of harvesting and handling the data as well as devising methods to automate operational processes on various platforms, using macros, scripts and other means.

Managed and reviewed policies pertaining to National Service. This involved presenting of review papers to senior management, liaising with various stakeholders, and coordinating efforts across various ministries. This was integral for the effective functioning of key frameworks and policies regarding National ServiceConducted qualitative and quantitative research where we gathered data through avenues such as interviews, townhall meetings, focus groups, surveys where the survey groups included national servicemen, ordinary Singaporeans and others. Such data informed policy papers, and public relations campaigns conducted by the Ministry.Coordinated between units on the ground, as well as various departments such as other policy departments, legal and communication so to implement of policies relating to Singapore’s National Service. Liaised with various ministries and statutory boards on whole-of-government affairs.

Such planning involved searching for sites, negotiations with vendors and locations, securing the necessary manpower.
