Associated Students an auxiliary unit of the greater CSUN campus, it is the primary advocate for students at California State University Northridge. Below are the various task and objective I held as Accounting Manager.• Supervise and manage accounting team- consisting of three direct report professional accountants and two student accounting assistants.• Review and post weekly, monthly, and quarterly journal entries into PeopleSoft general ledger.• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for the University, A.S. managers, and student organizations.• Establish and enforce financial controls within A.S. and various student groups, while facilitating student-run organizational objectives.• Conduct budget review; develop revenue/expense and asset/liabilities analysis; perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly reconciliations.• Preparing Sales and used tax returns• Generate vendor 1099 reporting annually • Mentor, encourage, and train accounting team members to build out their professional skill sets.• Perform periodic employee performance reviews; prepare employee performance review reports.
