If learning is growing then I will probably never stop growing. I am a contemplative and inquisitive person who finds inspiration easily. I have experience in retail and some in administration. My time in retail was spent fostering an affinity with our customers and deeply understanding our product. It was an environment that demanded you be informed, as customer retention was based on the trust customers had in your recommendations and the speed at which you could deliver information on their queries.Administration is a critical role where work needs to be processed for any other work to keep happening. My experience with administration is one of meticulous care and tiresome repetition that is necessary to continue production or service. There are plenty of unnamed people who are underappreciated who specialize in acting as the lubricant that keeps the system from seizing up. Even without dedicated administrative personnel the administrative work must be done and it can be a nightmare for those who do not take to it well. I have a deep appreciation for the personnel who with their deft handling of documents and auxiliary functions optimize efficiency of operations.My current adventure is one of repair and service. I find myself learning and being surprised by things that were in plain sight. A world of problems that don't start with a blank slate but rather very tangible historical context. I have barely gazed upon the silhouette of the mountain range known as engineering but I have respect for the technical feats that engineers spend time tirelessly designing and iterating on. However as someone who is learning to repair, I am obligated to swear at the engineering choices under my breath.I hope to have the opportunity to continue to learn, grow and find new appreciation.
