• Report directly to the Production Manager• Efficiently and effectively manage the key activities related to the Production Departments, in order to meet the business and customer requirements.• Ensures adherence to schedule in order to met customer delivery deadlines, on time and in full• Manage the departments (over 70 employees in the plant) in ensuring that allocations are optimised.• Manage and monitor time and attendance in all the departments.• Manage and actively involved in the quality assurance process in order to ensure that customer requirements are adhered to.• Ensures that all operations/activities within the departments comply with the health and safety requirements (ISO standards).• Ensures cost saving initiative.• Ensures housekeeping and safety standards are met and adhered too, at all times.• People/manning management.

• Report to top management of the company.• I’m improving, procedures and practices within the company in order to improve productivity and profit. • Organize and control all production activities, quality, planning, cycle time, utilization, economic analysis, production efficiencies, material handling, and facility layout, also carries other special projects.• Responsible for over thirty high speed packaging lines and extruders manufacturing different homecare detergent chemical products.• Discuss safety and employment equity issues from various meetings with team members and management. • I work most with the employees analysing and solving problems, development solution, gaining co-operation, motivating employees and always seeking better, quicker and cheaper ways of doing the operations.• Controlling and coordinating Continuous improvement throughout the plant, Ensuring operator efficiencies are optimised and take appropriate corrective action, Co-ordinate the flow of materials to the lines and finished product from the line, and ensures correct yields are achieved. • Responsible for all quality aspects of products being produced, Complete all reporting (efficiencies, productivity, statically process chart, graphs etc). • Ensures that there is a continuous flow of information from the shop floor to management and important information from management is properly and clearly communicated to the teams. • Understand and knows what the follow up batch is and ensures all the correct materials are staged and ready to prevent excessive changeover time between batches. • Ensures that good manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the highest level of housekeeping are understood by all team members and implemented continuously. • Responsible for all aspects of health and safety related to production line, the people and their safe performance of duties, ensuring the environment is not harmed in any.
