The sand transfer system will significantly assist in the control of erosion in these hotspots, being designed to move sand from Winda Woppa Point to Jimmy’s Beach. Team LeaderLend Lease Sep 2014 - Dec 2014Watercare O&M Contract - AucklandAt the end of the Cronulla project I was offered a three month secondment to work on the operations and maintenance contract for Watercare in Auckland. I was taking construction OH&S disciplines to share into the O&M business and in return learning more about the O&M business, in particular the prioritising and dispatch of work and the field based computer system JAMS (Job and Asset Management System). Work on the O&M contract was prioritised based on urgency. Works generally fell into one of two categories. Priority one (P1) work which was urgent (overflows, blockages etc) and had to be responded to within one hour. Priority five (P5) was generally rectification work resulting from P1 responses, required more planning and coordination (engaging sub contractors, liaising with Watercare Engineers, holding planning sessions, arranging permits, traffic management etc) and had to be commenced within two weeks.As Team Leader my role was to work with Lend Lease staff, management and safety, Watercare Engineers, sub contractors, consultants and suppliers to coordinate works, ensuring we met our time based KPI’s, maintained safety standards and projected a positive company image. My role was to get everyone working together and "make it happen".
