Technology driven and creative problem solver in the advancement of Robotics, Aerospace and Complex Process Engineering. Newly graduated with talent in leadership, scientific communication, and teamwork. Experience spans experimental research in plasma and applied physics, linear optimization programming, and robotic design and programming. Education: BA in Astrophysics with a minor in Mathematics from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.Key skills: Proficient in Programming (Python, R, C, C++, C#, Java, and Java script), linear optimization programming, statistical modeling programming, 3D printing and design (Autodesk Fusion 360), LaTeX, Lab Skills, and soldering. Key experiences: - Collegiate team leader for the GLEAM 2021-2022 Lunar Rover Challenge funded and hosted by the NASA MN Space Grant Consortium. This challenge allowed each team to design a mock lunar rover to remotely explore a simulated lunar surface, map the environment, and describe the surface/environment as precisely as possible. The challenge required that the rover must be controlled over xBee radio communications and had a strict weight limit and budget constraints. The team leader lead and organized meetings, set and upheld goals and deadlines, developed public interest in the project by collecting signatures and raising public funding, took part in the design and execution of the robot, and presented the resulting rover for a panel of judges. Out of over 10 collegiate MN collegiate teams, Concordia College's rover took second place with a rover that used a Tera Bee Camera to create a 3D point cloud map of the environment.- Summer researcher for an Plasma Physics REU at Concordia College. Created a Python program that simulated diagnostic responses of Langmuir probes. Used the program for research and educational purposes for undergraduate classes. Attained a proficient level of Python programming and focused on using it for statistical modeling. Presented the program and research done with it at the Celebration of Student Scholarship Symposium at Concordia College 2021.- Learned use R to solve Linear Optimization programs and used those techniques to work with Sanford Health Inventory Management Team. Created a easy to use, well documented program that optimized the storage organization and capacity for the local 5 Sanford hospitals. The program reduces the unused space in hospital storage rooms and the item order fulfillment times in the warehouse. Interacted with client to set realistic expectations. -Founded and lead the Robotics Club at Concordia College.

GLEAM Lunar Challenge was funded and hosted by NASA MN Space Grant Consortium. Each collegiate team had to design a rover to explore a simulated lunar surface, map the environment, and describe the surface/environment as precisely as possible.• Designed rover controlled remotely through XBee radio communications within strict weight and budget constraints.• Developed public interest in project, collecting 40 signatures and $500+ of public funding. • Focused design on mapping environment using LIDAR Camera and Open3D library to create 3D point cloud map.• Taught self Arduino coding, soldering, 3D printing, XBee radio communication, and raspberry pi 4 programming.• Presented at University of Minnesota for NASA Minnesota Space Grant Consortium student symposium of 2022.
Created online base of programming and circuitry design knowledge for use by future students and faculty.• Developed inventory of equipment and parts for free use by club members or faculty.• Built autonomous spider-like robot with peer, inspired by NASA’s pursuit to find reliable rover design that does not use wheels or treads.• Equipped robot with LIDAR Camera to map Concordia College’s Integrated Science Center.
Created a Python program that simulated diagnostic responses of Langmuir probes.• Attained intermediate level of Python programming, specifically for statistical modeling.• Created program that used basic Langmuir probe theory not assuming Maxwellian distribution of electrons. • Allowed user of program to input any type of distribution and create theoretical result of that model.• Developed program allowing one to compare theoretical to experimental data to identify discrepancies.• Used program created to analyze effects of changing temperature of hypothetical plasma and to analyze Current-Voltage curve created by a double Maxwellian distribution. • Presented findings at Celebration of Student Scholarship Symposium at Concordia College 2021.
