In the course of my professional career, I have been privileged to be employed in a variety of progressive roles which have leveraged both my technical proficiency and leadership potential to accomplish my mission. I have worked in a variety of disciplines in Information Technology, which have contributed to an extensive breadth of knowledge. Each position that I have held in the past 18 years, shows increasing technical skills and responsibility, including both volunteer and assigned roles outside of my original job description. My breadth of IT knowledge, leadership skill, and my increasing interest in Information Security combine to guiding me towards C-series positions in my career path. I would like to improve my experience and technical ability in Risk Management and hopefully Lead and Support the necessary business functions of an organization that needs my expertise. I have primarily worked in three core functions in my career, Support Services, Systems Administration, and Information Security. I hold industry certifications in each discipline, which are detailed below, as well as some additional training and certification in Lean Six Sigma - Green Belt process improvement. I’ve also taken a training course on PMI’s Project Management Professional with Agile supplement to enhance and tie together the deliverables of all three disciplines outlined here. I served as a Sergeant in the 1st Brigade 12th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Calvary Division in Fort Hood, Texas. I also supported the first Iraqi elections during my combat tour in Sadr City, Baghdad, Iraq in 2004.
